The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details to use its features.
When you choose to save a GIF to your Photos library, the App requests permission to add content to your photo library. This permission (NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription) is used exclusively for writing the GIF file you have created — nothing more.
When you select photos, videos, or Live Photos to create a GIF, the App uses the system-provided picker interface (PHPicker / PhotosPicker). This picker runs in a separate system process and does not grant the App direct access to your photo library. We only receive the specific media items you choose, and only after you confirm your selection.
The App allows you to import GIF files from your device via the system file picker. Just like the photo picker, only the files you explicitly select are made available to the App for editing and management. The App does not browse your file system or access any files without your deliberate action.
All GIF creation, conversion, editing, and compression happens entirely on your device. No media files, source materials, or generated content are ever uploaded to a server, processed in the cloud, or shared externally. The App functions fully offline and does not require an internet connection.
The GIFs you create and the library of imported files are stored locally in the App's sandboxed container on your device. This data is not accessible by other applications and is managed entirely by you. You may delete any GIF at any time from within the App.
Simple GIF Creator does not collect, request, or knowingly process any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. All content creation happens on-device with no user profiling or behavioral tracking of any kind.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's functionality or legal requirements. When we do, the updated policy will be made available within the App and the effective date above will be revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
